What to Expect

Sumner Regional Medical Center's Pediatric Care Unit was designed with children and families in mind. Featuring kid-friendly décor, comfortable accommodations for mom and dad, an activity room designed to take the focus off being in the hospital, and in-room entertainment, we're taking a new approach to pediatric care at SRMC.

"The unit features child-inspired décor, brightly colored private patient rooms with large, flat screen televisions and PlayStation® video gaming units, and a newly designed activity room filled with toys and other activities to take a child's mind off being ill," says Jan Moser, RN, Director of Pediatrics at SRMC.

When it comes to the health of your child, you want the best. So do we. That's why our Pediatric Care Unit is staffed by eight board certified pediatricians, all of whom completed their residencies at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), and a pediatric nursing staff that has undergone extensive pediatric training.
