Sumner Regional Medical Center and Sumner Station
When you or a family member has an emergency, the last thing you want to do is spend hours in the ER waiting room. Our average wait time from
emergency room arrival to being seen by a provider is less than the national average. And when that family member is your child, we know seconds count and quality matters.
We have built a team of the most skilled ER nurses and physicians in the region, and we've redesigned our processes to exceed your expectations at two locations in Gallatin. And because high-quality, life-saving care is our highest priority, the Emergency Room at Sumner Regional Medical Center is an Accreditated Chest Pain Center and a Certified Primary Stroke Center.
The goal of the Emergency Room staff at both Sumner Regional Medical Center and Sumner Station is to offer the highest-quality health care to all our patients, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We strive to deliver these services in a professional and compassionate manner with physicians and nurses who specialize in emergency care and specialists in many fields who are available for consultation.
Patients with life-threatening illnesses or who need emergency treatment will be taken immediately to the treatment room. Our goal is for each patient to be examined by a physician within 15 minutes of arrival. We will be happy to explain any delays and will do everything possible to ensure you are comfortable and properly informed.
Our Emergency Room is accredited by the American College of Cardiology as a Chest Pain Center with PCI. This means we have a call team made up of the cardiac catheterization (cath) lab staff and an interventional cardiologist who arrive at the facility within 30 minutes of STEMI activation, available 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
